On behalf of the academic conference committee Peter van der Sijde and Bart Bossink (VU-Amsterdam), Aard Groen (University of Groningen & University of Twente), Gary Cook (University of Liverpool), Ingrid Wakkee (Hogeschool van Amsterdam) and the local organisers from the Science, Business & Innovation section (VU-Amsterdam) and the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA), this is an invitation to you to present your work at the HTSF conference 2017. This year the VU and HvA will jointly host the conference.

In the HTSF conference researchers convene to discuss the current state of research on science and technology based entrepreneurship in small and larger, new and old firms. A particular theme for this year’s conference will be promoting and exploiting science-based innovation.

This conference will include key notes on science-based entrepreneurship research, both from academic speakers and practitioners. The conference is a platform to discuss and present both work in development and more complete studies. The conference incorporates a doctoral workshop to promote the development of young researchers for the next generation of science and technology based entrepreneurship research.  .

Conference themes

This Conference will accept papers on themes relevant to science and technology entrepreneurship, business creation and growth, entrepreneurial ecosystems, social entrepreneurship and university-industry collaboration, entrepreneurship education.

Papers for the main conference will be selected by peer review of an abstract.  Abstracts must be submitted before 31st March 2017, and full papers must be submitted by 13th of May 2017 if you want to compete in the best paper awards (best research paper and best practical paper, best young researcher paper). All papers are to be presented at the seminar (20 minutes, plus 10 minutes for questions and discussion). All papers presented will be considered for one or more special issues of the journals present.

Fees (per person)

For both days, the conference fee is Euro 300. For doctoral delegates, for all 3 days, Euro 225.
